Straight Exactas

  1. BetJets accepts Exacta singles, doubles, and trebles in accordance with the rules below.
  2. Exacta bets are void if fewer than three runners participate or if you select an unnamed favourite.
  3. Non-Runners:
  • In 2-selection Exactas: the bet becomes a Win Single at SP on the remaining selection.
  • In 3+ selection Exactas: the bet becomes a Reverse Exacta on the two remaining selections. If only one runner remains, the bet becomes a Win Single at SP.
  1. If only one-horse finishes and no Exacta dividend is declared, bets on that horse to win will be paid as Win Singles at SP. All other bets are void.
  2. In case of a dead-heat for 1st or 2nd, separate Exacta dividends will be paid.
  3. For US racing, all Exacta dividends are supplied by the Press Association (PA). 

Trifectas

  1. Trifecta bets (1st, 2nd, 3rd in exact order) are accepted as single bets only.
  2. Trifectas are only valid on races where a computer dividend is declared. If no dividend is declared, bets will be settled as Exactas.
  3. Trifectas including an unnamed favourite will be void for that selection.
  4. Bets are settled according to the official computer dividend.
  5. Non-Runners: 
  • One non-runner: bet becomes a straight Exacta.
  • Two non-runners: bet becomes a Win Single at SP on the remaining runner. 
  1. Dead-heat rules apply with separate dividends for qualifying Trifectas. 

BetJets offers a Fixed odds Exacta/Trifecta where the payout will be derived from the SP's from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners and does not come from the South African Tote dividends. We also offer Tote bets under the Tote tab on the BetJets website.

International Racing 

  1. Bets with Early Prices (EP) will be settled at BetJets’ offered price.
  2. SP bets are settled using the Industry SP provided by the PA.
  3. If no Industry SP is available, the last traded BetJets price will apply.
  4. Exacta and Trifecta dividends (if offered) are based on PA returns. 

Abandoned or Postponed Races 

Bets will be void if:

  • The race is abandoned or declared void.
  • The race is postponed for more than 48 hours.
  • Entries or race/surface conditions change materially. 
    Note: For US racing, if the surface changes (e.g., Turf to Dirt), all bets stand.

Re-Run Races 

If a race is re-run the same day, all bets will stand (subject to WCGRB Rule 4 deductions), even if the race distance or fences change. 

Ante Post Betting 

  1. Ante Post bets are "all in" and remain valid whether selections run or not.
  2. Selections not declared by final declaration count as losers.
  3. Bets placed after the "Day of Event" stage are not Ante Post and follow regular rules.
  4. Bets may be void if incorrectly priced odds remain available.
  5. Void Circumstances: 
  • Race is moved to another course/surface.
  • Race reopens or reverts to earlier declaration stage (bets may be canceled by mutual agreement).
  • Horse is balloted out or eliminated.
  • Multi-race bets where one leg is Ante Post may be partially void if special odds were not offered. 

Requesting Horses 

If a horse is not listed, contact BetJets Support to request a quote. 

Dead-Heats 

In the event of a dead-heat, your stake is proportioned accordingly. E.g., in a two-way dead-heat, half the stake wins, the other half loses. 

Each-Way Betting 

  1. Each-way bets split the stake: half to win, half to place.
  2. Place bets are paid as a fraction of the win odds.
  3. Number of starters determines place payouts.
  4. Each-way accumulators are settled win-to-win, place-to-place.
  5. Fewer than 5 runners = win-only.
  6. In multi-race bets, each leg follows its own place terms.
  7. Place-only bets require at least an equal Win bet.
  8. Excess place money without matching win stakes is void.
  9. Incorrect each-way terms on-site will be corrected.
  10. BetJets may offer win-only on selected races.

Extra Place Races 

Extra place terms apply only if a minimum number of runners are present:

  • 4 Places: 12+ runners
  • 5 Places: 16+ runners
  • 6 Places: 24+ runners 
    If the field drops below these thresholds, standard place terms apply.

Early Price Races 

  • Early Prices are subject to Rule 4 deductions.
  • If a runner is withdrawn (not under starter’s orders), your stake is refunded. Remaining selections are subject to Rule 4 deductions.

First Past the Post (FPP) 

Applies to races where BetJets feels is appropriate.

  1. Bets settled on both FPP and Official Result.
  2. FPP exceptions (bets settled by Official Result only):
    • Wrong weight/jockey fails to weigh-in
    • Wrong course taken
    • Ante Post, Exacta/Trifecta, or void races
    • 2-runner races
    • Judge declares winner in error

Enhanced Boost Multi 

  1. Applies to SA Horse Racing only.
  2. Bets must be placed before the first leg starts.
  3. If any horse is a non-runner, bet is void unless result is known.
  4. Rule 4 deductions may apply. 

Match Bets 

  1. Based on Official Result.
  2. If either selection doesn’t run, the bet is void.
  3. Dead heat rules apply.
  4. One of the two horses must finish the race. 

Late Bets & Errors

  1. All late bets placed after a race has jumped will be voided and the accounts will be limited.
  2. Pricing Errors will be rectified and bets voided.

Refusal of Bets

BetJets reserves the right to refuse any bet without providing a reason.

  1. Reserves without a quoted price are excluded from settlement.
  2. If priced, they count toward settlement and affect Rule 4 deductions.

All bets on void or walkover races will be void. 

Withdrawals & Non-Runners 

  1. Horses that come under starter’s orders but refuse to race are losers.
  2. Non-runners declared by the starter result in stakes being refunded (Ante Post excluded).
  3. Bets on remaining runners are subject to Rule 4 deductions.

BetJets Tax Refund Terms & Conditions

  1. This offer is available to both new and existing BetJets customers. 
  1. In accordance with government legislation, a 6% (six percent) tax on winnings will be deducted from all horse racing payouts. 
  1. At its sole discretion, and without any obligation, BetJets may choose to refund a discretionary amount equal to the 6% winnings tax to select customers. 
  1. On certain betslips, this tax refund may be visually shown by marking the tax amount as "scratched out". Please note, this is only a visual reference. The 6% tax will still be paid to the relevant authorities as required, and any applicable promotional refund will be issued separately as a marketing goodwill gesture. 
  1. Customers will see the full breakdown of each transaction within their Transaction Summary. 
  1. All horse racing wagers will automatically be considered for the Tax Refund promotion unless a customer is excluded from participating, at BetJets’ sole discretion. 
  1. Participation in this offer requires an active and verified BetJets account. 
  1. This promotion is strictly available to natural persons who are at least 18 years old and are either South African citizens or permanent residents. 
  1. BetJets may request customers to submit an information disclosure form for compliance purposes. Failure to comply with the terms and conditions may result in immediate disqualification. 
  1. BetJets reserves the right to monitor all entries and participant behaviour for any irregular activity. Any suspicious conduct, breach of rules, or suspected attempts to manipulate the promotion may lead to disqualification.
